Cincinnati Show Postponed to July 26
Jul 16, 2015Riverbend Music Center just announced that the James Taylor concert originally scheduled for this Friday, July 17 has been postponed and rescheduled to Sunday, July 26.
Due to the unprecedented rain fall over the past few weeks the levels of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers are exceptionally high for this time of year. The Army Corps of Engineers has the Ohio River forecast continuing to rise over the next 48 hours causing flooding of the stage area at Riverbend. Due to these conditions the James Taylor concert cannot be performed this Friday as scheduled.
Tickets for the original show date will be honored for the rescheduled Sunday, July 26th concert. Tickets for the concert are still available for purchase at Ticketmaster.com, Riverbend.org, and all Ticketmaster outlets.

James Takes New York!
Jun 23, 2015James has been a busy guy this last week, dashing around New York City to promote his just-released new album Before This World.
Tuesday night saw James and the band perform at the legendary Apollo Theatre, an invitation-only affair that was streamed live on SiriusXM. Click here to see a clip of “Today Today Today” from the show. Two nights later, James was back on the air at SiriusXM for a Town Hall Q&A hosted by legendary sportscaster, Bob Costas with a small group of fans. Highlights from that event can be listened to here.
That’s not all: On Wednesday night James was a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers last week, performing “Angels Of Fenway” and sitting for a chat with Seth, which can be viewed in two parts, here and here.
Giving the morning shows a turn, James also stopped off at Live with Kelly and Michael to perform two songs, and swung by Morning Joe for a conversation with Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Mike Barnicle.

NPR’s HERE AND NOW: James Taylor’s Back With New Music On ‘Before This World’
Jun 16, 2015Music legend James Taylor hasn’t released an album of new material since “October Road” in 2002. But it’s not as if he hasn’t been composing in the interim.
“I’m constantly making little musical recordings on my phone or on a little voice recorder I carry with me, just to remember these little pieces of music that eventually become songs,” he Taylor told Here & Now’s Robin Young.
But he needed time alone to focus on the process of “writing lyrics and putting the puzzles together.” So Taylor decided to sequester himself away from his family for short periods of time.
“After a couple of days of waiting and just sitting there, experiencing the solitude, songs began to come through,” he said. James Taylor releases the resulting album, “Before This World,” today.
