To create the high-quality vinyl pressing for Warner Records’ Greatest Hits remaster, Bernie Grundman used this Scully lathe — extensively restored, adapted and modernized. The lathe uses state-of-the-art handmade components to transfer James’s classics from original 1970s tape, and is considered unequalled in its fidelity and precision. Bernie Grundman and Peter Asher took care to ensure the final pressing precisely reproduced the albums James created 50 years ago.

On Tuesday, August 18 at 8:00pm ET, James will host the virtual event, The Best of Tanglewood on Parade.
