The Zac Brown Band has just released a cover of JT’s “Sweet Baby James” as part of the “Amazon Original” series. Zac explains, “I started listening to James Taylor in elementary school. He’s probably my single biggest influence that I’ve ever had… (James) showed me what you can do with a single guitar to accompany a song. I hope our fans love this as much as we do.”

James’s good friend Tony Bennett, bravely announced his Alzheimer’s diagnosis this week. James has been honored to record and perform with Tony many times, including in 2011 at Carnegie Hall. Click below to hear James and Tony’s duet of the classic “Put On A Happy Face” from the 1960 musical, Bye Bye Birdie.

Here’s another vintage clip from James’s 1997 appearance on the BBC’s Later…with Jools Holland. In this newly unearthed video clip James performs his song “Line ‘Em Up” backed by the show’s houseband, which includes host Jools Holland on piano. The song appears on 1997’s Hourglass.
