James Taylor here with what may be disappointing news for our audience in Winnipeg: a half dozen cases of Covid forced us to miss our concert there in May and it’s looking now like we have to cancel, rather than postpone. This summer and coming Fall have been taken up with rescheduled shows from earlier Covid-related postponements and finding a reasonable date to make up Winnipeg is looking near impossible. We hope to come back to you as soon as we can make it back to Canada but, for now, we’ll have to offer to refund your tickets. As much as I hate to cancel, it’s a Covid-era necessity. So very sorry…
Ticket holders who purchased through JamesTaylor.com or Ticketmaster will receive an email with refund information today. If you purchased through a third party or do not receive that email, please contact your point of purchase.
In this performance from JT’s 2016 concert in Ottawa, James and the band present Chuck Berry’s classic “The Promised Land”. Did you know that for this song, Berry borrowed the melody from the folk song “Wabash Cannonball”; he added new lyrics and the song became “The Promised Land” in 1964?

If you’re attending James’s Tanglewood shows on July 3 and 4, make sure you come early because traffic is likely to be backed up, especially at the West Stockbridge exit from the Mass Turnpike.
Come earlier, bring a picnic and enjoy the day. Shed seats still available!
