BBC Disco – 1970
Oct 1, 2021This week James is sharing another vintage performance from the 1970 BBC program ‘Disco 2’. Click now to see restored footage of James singing his classic “Something In The Way She Moves”, originally found on his 1968 self-titled debut album.

On July 20, 1969, legendary impresario George Wein — founder of both the Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals — walked onstage and stopped JT’s first-ever Newport Festival concert after just 15 minutes. The reason? Neil Armstrong was walking on the moon. Nearly 50 years later, George once again introduced James onstage, in Newport…but this time for a complete concert.
