James was among the distinguished recipients of the 39th Kennedy Center Honors this past Sunday. This photo captures James reuniting with “The Section” (featuring Danny Kortchmar, Craig Doerge, Leland Sklar and Russ Kunkel). CBS will broadcast the Kennedy Center Honors on December 27 at 9/8C. Sometimes we suffer setbacks. And if these reversals of fortune are deeply important to us, the loss can be a source of real grief. Recovery takes time and we should allow ourselves time to grieve. But what eventually seems to help most is to take a regular moment to give thanks. To whom we give it is a big question but just go ahead on and do it. Gratitude is the way to an improved attitude, dude. Scientists tell us that it is likely, even inevitable, that there are other worlds in the cosmos which, like our own, would support life. But they are so rare and far apart that it’s a long shot we’ll ever be in touch… To have been born in human form and consciousness aboard this unbelievably beneficent planet is an incredible stroke of luck. Dig it…
