Message from James

My sister Kate gave me the news this morning: Barbara Heizman is gone from us yesterday, a sad loss for us who knew her for so long (my memories of her go back to the ‘70s). She was such a constant: we could count on her showing up somewhere during the tour, year after year and she was a bright and comforting presence on our social media, calling in often. Like so many deeply sensitive and intuitive people, her path was not easy, which made her compassionate and understanding and gave her a wry, self-deprecating humor. My sympathies go out to her unique and unusual family of close friends, as impossible to pigeon-hole as she was. We’ve just begun to miss her…

Barb sent some of her paintings during Covid…
