The French Honor “Monsieur Taylor”!

James has received word that the French government has conferred on him the distinguished honor of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters.

The Ordre des Arts et des Lettres was created in 1957 to recognize eminent artists and writers, as well as individuals who have contributed to furthering the arts in France and throughout the world. The Order is given out twice annually to only a few hundred people worldwide. Americans who have received the award include Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Uma Thurman and Marilyn Horne.

The announcement will be followed by a private medal ceremony at a later date at the French Embassy in New York.
