Why must I be selected to participate in the JamesTaylor.com Carnegie Hall ticket sale?
The demand for these tickets far exceeds our very limited supply. In an effort to give fans an equal chance to purchase tickets, we have created this selection system. To take advantage, simply create a
JamesTaylor.com
account and choose the concerts you are interested in attending. You will then be entered into a random lottery to be selected to purchase tickets. For a more detailed explanation of this process, please
.
How do I get selected for these ticket sales?
JamesTaylor.com members will be selected from those who have indicated interest in each show. Each lottery will include all members who have chosen that show. Names are selected completely at random by computer.
Am I guaranteed tickets if I am selected to participate in the ticket sale?
No. Since we will be selecting more members than there are available tickets, there is no guarantee that you will be able to successfully purchase tickets.
Is there a limit to the number of concerts I can request?
No. You can request to be entered into the lottery for each show.
Will I be able to edit my show choices after they have been made?
Yes. You are able to edit the concerts you have chosen by accessing your JamesTaylor.com
account profile
.
Is there a cut-off date to choose or edit my show choices?
Yes. The cut-off date is January 26.
Can I edit my email address and other account details?
Yes. You can do so by logging into your account and
going here
. To change your email address, just enter in your new address in place of your old one, enter in your password for security reasons and then click "Submit".
How will I know if I’ve been selected to purchase tickets?
If you are selected to purchase tickets in one of our ticket sales, you will be notified via email. This email will contain your personal, non-transferrable and non-reuseable link to the ticket sale, as well as all the other details you will need.
How will the ticket sale participants be selected?
Participants will be randomly selected from the pool of members who have indicated interest in attending each specific show.
How will I know if I haven’t been selected?
If you aren't selected to purchase tickets you will be informed via email.
How long will I have to purchase tickets if I have been selected?
Our ticket sales will last for as long as we have tickets available to sell.
How many tickets can I buy with my ticket sale link?
With each link you can purchase a limit of two tickets (for the May 6 show) or four tickets (for the April 12, April 20 and May 9 shows).
Is my ticket sale link transferable?
No. Each link is personalized, non-transferrable and non-reusable. Only by logging into JamesTaylor.com with the account assigned to the link will you be able to purchase tickets.
What happens if I share my ticket link with others?
Each ticket link is personalized, non-transferrable and non-reusable. If you are not logged into the JamesTaylor.com account associated with the link, you will not be able to purchase tickets.
Is that ticket limit for all of the concerts or each show individually?
There is a limit of two tickets for the May 6 show and a limit of four tickets for the April 12, April 20 and May 9 shows. Each of your chosen concerts is distinct and your result for one show’s round of sales does not impact your chance of getting selected to another show’s sale.
What if I don’t have access to the internet at the ticket sale start time?
The email containing your ticket sale link will also detail the specifics of the ticket sale start time. As we will issue more ticket sale links than there are available tickets, the onus will be on you to ensure that you are able to access JamesTaylor.com at the ticket sale time.
What payment methods can I use to purchase my tickets?
JamesTaylor.com accepts VISA, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo.
Will there be a service charge for these tickets?
Yes. The amount of the service charge will be detailed in the JamesTaylor.com Store.
Will I be able to select the seats I am purchasing?
No. Ticket orders on JamesTaylor.com will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. This means the best seats available in the ticket sale are assigned to the first people who purchase their tickets.
Will my tickets be seated together?
Yes, your seats will be together.
When will I know what seats I have?
The exact location of the seats will be emailed to you within six-eight weeks of your ticket purchase.
How do I know if my order went through (was successful)?
If your order is successful, you will end up on page titled “Order Received” that contains your order confirmation number. You should also receive a copy of your order receipt to the email address associated with your JamesTaylor.com account. If you do not receive this email, please contact us at
tickets@JamesTaylor.com
.
What if I am unable to use my tickets after I’ve purchased them? Can I get a refund? Are they transferable?
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate ticket refunds and transfers.
What if all the tickets sell out before I am able to buy mine?
If you are selected for a ticket sale and, at the designated sale start time, you click on the "Buy" button and receive a message saying that all tickets are reserved by other customers, please keep trying until you see a message stating that the tickets are sold out.
However, if you don’t use your ticket link at the designated start time, your name will be returned to the pool of potential members for additional tickets that may come in at a later date. Should we receive additional tickets for your chosen date, you will have the same chance as everyone of being selected for this new sale.
If I don’t get selected to participate in the ticket sale for one show, am I eligible to be selected to the ticket sale for one of my other show choices?
Yes. Each of your show choices is distinct and your result for one show’s round of ticket sales does not impact your chance of getting selected to another show’s ticket sale.
If I am successful in buying tickets using one of my ticket sale links, will I still have a chance to be selected to the ticket sale for one of my other concerts?
Yes. Each of your show choices is distinct and your success in buying tickets for one show does not impact your chance of getting selected to another show’s sale.
Will there be more than one round of member selections for each ticket sale?
Possibly. While we anticipate selling out all of the tickets in the first round of member selections, we will run a second round of sales if any tickets remain available or if any new tickets become available.
If there is more than one round, how will I know if I have been selected in the second round?
If there is a second round of ticket sales, we will email you with information on how the second round of selections will work.
If there is more than one round of sales, how will I know if I have not been selected in the second round?
If you are not selected, we will contact you via email.
When are all of the Carnegie Hall ticket sales over?
The JamesTaylor.com ticket sales will wrap up once we’ve sold out of our ticket allotment. As we sell out each show, we will update the site.
Are the JamesTaylor.com ticket sales the only way to buy tickets to the Carnegie Hall concerts?
All concerts are sold out. However, for the April 12 concert you can still purchase Gala tickets (concert plus pre-concert reception or post-concert festive dinner) directly through Carnegie Hall
here
.
